Alex Vasquez

Dr. Vasquez serves as Principal and Executive Consultant for Integrated Strategy Consulting, a higher education consulting firm that helps institutional leaders to create, plan, and implement equity-minded organizational change that enhances the student experience, increases institutional effectiveness, and supports leaders. 

 

Over a 25-year career, Dr. Vasquez has served in leadership roles spanning student affairs, academic affairs, the offices of the provost and the president, and as a senior consultant to colleges and universities across the U.S. and Canada. He served as Dean of Students at Amherst College (MA) and in a variety of roles that bridged academic and student affairs at Wheaton College (MA) and Colgate University (NY). 

 

He shares a deep commitment for and extensive experience in improving student success and engagement, institutional planning, organizational development, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Dr. Vasquez serves as a strategic partner to a growing and diverse community of institutional leaders. 

 

His research interests center on organizational behavior and leadership and decision-making in higher education. He earned a Ph.D at  at Boston College, an M.S. in Educational Administration and Policy Studies and B.S. in Philosophy at the State University of New York at Albany.
